When you think of things to do in Bishkek, street art may not be at the top of your mind – but if you keep your eyes out, you’ll find cool and colourful street art scattered around the city.
There are fantastic and massive street art murals from talented artists like Basic Colors and DOXA who are prolific around Central Asia.
The annoying thing with street art is that while I can find photos of them online, I can’t find where they are located on the map – vital details that are often left out! But don’t worry, I got you! All the street art listed below all have Google Maps location markers (and coordinates for non-Google Maps users).
Here are the top amazing pieces of street art to admire in Bishkek.
Growing an oasis
A green, colourful piece of a boy planting some greenery for Mother Earth. Unfortunately, this artwork is slowly being chipped and peeled away, much like nature in real life. See it while you still can (both this art piece and real nature). This piece is found in a courtyard of a school.
Daughter of the digital age
Special Mention:
Mural memorial
Despite being a colourful and beautiful mural, I wish this piece of street art did not exist because this art piece is also a memorial for a local Kyrgyz girl who was tragically murdered due to the country’s still prevalent tradition of bride kidnapping.
This mural is found inside Bishkek Medical college on Bokonbayev Street.

That’s some of the top amazing street art to be discovered in Bishkek. I’m sure there are other great ones that I have missed or have yet to be made by talented street artists.
